Bourjois CC Cream & CC Eye Cream Concealer | Review

Hey Beauties...
CC Creams have become the next big thing, next to BB Creams and Foundations. If you are unsure what a CC Cream actually is and why it differs from a foundation or BB Cream, well basically CC Cream stands for Colour Correcter Cream, its thicker and slightly more coverage then a BB Cream but lighter then a foundation. They are mainly used to cancel out redness and discolouration in the face giving you a flawless, natural looking finish without the weight of a foundation. Sounds like my kind of cream! Perfect if you need that little extra coverage a BB Cream just can't give but want the same lightweight feel.

I decided to jump on the band wagon and try a CC Cream out for myself, I love my BB Creams but just wanted to see the difference and maybe find something I could use to give my skin that little extra 'boost' towards the summer months, that I could also wear in the winter months when my skins not at its best. I asked on twitter and pretty much everyone recommended Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream so I decided to give it a go, I also spotted the 123 perfect Eye Cream Concealer and thought I would give that a try aswell, as I'm always looking for something to hide my dark circles round my eyes.

I have been using these two together for a fair few weeks now so decided it was time to share my thoughts on them and thought it was best I reviewed them together.

123 Perfect CC Cream
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream Light Beige | £9.99
So lets start with the CC Cream. Bourjois claim this cream will give you a 'Luminous Complexion & Smooth Skin' whilst providing you with 24hr hydration. It contains 3 colour correcting shade which are Apricot for Anti-Fatigue, Green for Anti-Redness and White for Anti-Dark Spots.
There are only 4 shades available:
 -Ivory
-Light Beige
-Rose Beige
-Bronze
I opted for Light Beige as I felt it suited my skin tone better and I could get use out of it in the winter months as well as summer and I do feel the CC Cream adapts nicely to your natural skin tone.

I love the fact this cream comes in a nice slim squeezable tube which makes it easy to control how much product is dispensed and makes the tube so easy to stash away in a make-up bag perfect for on the go or travelling, the little screw cap makes it so easy to stand upright on your dressing table. I love that the dispenser of the tube is a little nozzle, as this really helps you to control the amount of product that is dispensed and if you wanted, makes it so easy to apply the product directly to the skin or a brush with no mess or fuss.

The product does come out a little runny in consistency, however when you start to work the product into the skin it does seem to thicken up a little and feels so soft, almost like silk to apply. The CC Cream is so easy to work with and blends like a dream, so I like to use my fingers to apply the product as I find it gives a nicer finish, I do sometimes like to just buff the product in slightly with my buffing brush. But recently I have found my Beauty Blender works lovely with this product and gives a gorgeous finish.

123 Perfect CC Eye Cream Concealer.
Bourjois 123 Perfect Eye Cream Concealer | £7.99
The CC Eye Cream Concealer comes in a twist bottom pen like tube, which it really handy as it just slips in you bag nicely and the cap, snaps into place nice and tightly, giving you the reassurance it cap wont come loose and product can't be accidentally squeezed all in your bag if lent on. It has a Silicone applicator which smooths lines and wrinkles, which I do think helps to apply the product nice and smoothly, however I did find it can tug a little on the eyes when the product has started to sink into the skin, so I find it best to blend the product in with your fingers or a brush.

The twist bottom does take a while to encourage the product to surface, 3 or 4 twists to start with should do the trick, however after the 1st use, you only need to twist once or twice to get a good amount of product for the under eye area, a little goes a long way.

The formula of the eye product is so lightweight and creamy, it really does hydrate the under eye area, leaving them looking healthy, illuminated and awake. Absolutely no need to apply an eye cream before hand as this doubles up as both a conditioning balm and a concealer which I really nice.

There are two shade available in the concealer:
-Ivory
-Beige
I opted for Ivory, as its an under eye concealer I wanted to go for a lighter shade to brighten up my under eye area.

As you can see the CC Cream really nicely evens out the skin tone and give a gorgeous medium coverage, completely covering redness around my nose and slightly covering my dark circles around my eye area, leaving my face with a gorgeous healthy natural glow. The CC Eye Cream Concealer covers dark circles and brightens up the eye area beautifully, with what I would say a night light weight medium coverage.

Overall I absolutely love these products and together they make the absolutely perfect duo for a gorgeously flawless finish! Definitely a must for me in the mornings for the school run as they are just so effortless to apply but leave you looking awake and fabulous! The CC Cream does seem to keep you pretty matte for a good 8-10 hours, so I would say this is good for pretty much all skin types, really dry skin may need a moisturiser on underneath though. I definitely recommend this for anyone and everyone! I absolutely love it and think its a great introduction into the CC world! It has actually made it into my April Favourites here and I can't wait to start trying out more CC Creams, they may be my new favourite!

Have you tried these two lovely products? What are your thoughts on them? Or are you dying to get hold of them? I'd love to know!
