Benefit Gimme Brow | Review

Hey Beauties...
I have always had thin brows, but admittedly have only recently got into filling them in! I was very excited when Benefit announce the release of Benefit Gimme Brow I was really excited to see what the fuss was about.

Gimme Brow is a smart little brush-on fiber gel, which, unlike a normal brow gel, adheres to the skin and hair, creating fuller thicker brows. Benefit claim this products is, buildable, waterproof, long lasting, and natural looking.
Definitely sounds like my kind of brow product.

Like all benefit products, the packaging for this is professional looking with that classy edge that we all are drawn to and love! I am quite surprised how small the tube is considering the price of the product, but then I guess a little goes a long way.

There two shades available, Light/Medium and Medium/Deep.
I opted for Medium/Deep.

Benefit Gimme Brow | £17.50
Gimme Brow has a tapered brush for blending and a precision tip for shaping. The only downside I have found for this brush is the build up of product as you can see at the base of the brush, which doesn't go back into the tube when you place the brush back. This does cause a lot of product waste and gets gunky around the opening, which is annoying as you don't seem to get a lot of product as it is!
How to:
There is definitely a nack for applying this product. I found it's best to lightly apply the product through both brows (without re-dipping the brush) then gently comb the brows through when you feel the brush is dryer, which will lightly build up and even out the product , and repeat if you feel you need to. I find this gives the best natural looking finish. I do sometimes go over my brows with a spare, clean brow brush just to make sure there are no product build up.

In the picture above labelled 'with', I just applied one coat of the product just to show how Natural looking it really is, you can build it up if you feel the need to, also I found it applies lovely over a powder just to keep them brows in place.

The last two photos shown above were taking after 1 and 2 weeks of using the product, however at the time I do not have any product in my brows. You can see 'Gimme Brow' really has helped my brows look fuller and thicker, showing thicker, darker and more hairs then the before picture.

Overall, I am obsessed with this product and really do think it is worth the hype. Not only does it keep my brows in place all day, it really has given me thicker, nicer brows. As I said there is a nack to applying this product so it is best to take some time to find what way is best for you, then when you feel you have it, the product really is quick and easy to apply. In this case, practise really does make perfect. Highly recommend this for anyone who struggles with thin eyebrows like mine! Definitely worth the money and I feel a little does go a long way so the product should last a long time.

My only negative point is, like I mentioned before, the amount of product build up at the base of the brush which can be a pain. Other then that I really do love the product and the effect it has had on my brows! I definitely will be repurchasing when I run out, just hoping it wont be too soon.

Have you tried Gimme Brow? What do you think of it? Has it helped improve the appearance of your brows? Let me know what you think!

  2. I do love how natural this looks on. It makes my brows look like they've grown rather than being penciled on!

  3. I also found there's a nack to applying it, otherwise I ended up with clumps of product and looked ridiculous! It is very natural looking though and is great for day to day use. For more dramatic brows I love Brows a Go Go xx
