Tanya Burr Lipgloss Picnic in the Park | Review

Hey Beauties...
A couple weeks ago I shared with you my first impressions on one of Tanya Burr's New Lipgloss's (read it here) I have been wearing it almost every day since and decided it was time I share with you my true thoughts and feeling of the product. I am a fan of Tanya on youtube, I admire her work and have a lot of respect for her, however I wouldn't go crazy over a product just because she owns it or because it's one of hers, so I feel I'm quite open minded and unbiased when it comes to reviewing this product, if that makes sense.
I was a little hesitant to purchase these when they first came out as everyone was going crazy over them, and they were only available online. But when I saw they were released in superdrug I thought I would pick one up to try out for myself.

So if you are one of the very few who, for unknown reasons, don't know who Tanya Burr is, basically she is a Youtuber/Blogger that has taken over the internet by storm, with her easy to follow make-up tutorials ranging from celebrity inspired, date night to everyday and school looks. The reason I admire and have a lot of respect for her is because she comes from Norwich, which is just down the road from me, so its nice to see a local girl make it big.

Any way onto the glosses.
The packaging is quite simple and sleek looking, nothing too special, it does have Tanya's signature and signature heart on the tube itself and you can see her signature hear on the lid of the gloss which I think is a really nice touch and gives it a little more personality rather then her name just slapped on. The tube is clear showing you the colour of the gloss making it perfect to bring on the go as you wont have to hunt around pulling each one out, to fine the colour you want. Also the tube itself it just the right shape and size to be thrown into a bag on a busy day, and you will still be able to notice it when, rummaging through your bag later on to find it.

Tanya Burr Picnic in the Park | £6.99
The first thing you notice when you open these glosses is the unique shaped doh foot aplicator, now this isn't you standard gloss applicator, it dips slightly as it gets to the end, to really allow the applicator to hug the lips while applying the gloss. Also when you pull it out of the tube, the little suction inside the tube, doesn't remove all the product on the wand, instead you left with just the right amount of product in the dips to give a gorgeous application without the need to re-dip and reapply. The screw cap also locks nicely when closed so you can be sure of no unwanted spills or opening will occur whilst in you handbag.

The colour is a gorgeous coraly pink, perfect for spring/summer and really reminds me of them summer days in the park! As I mentioned in my first impressions the gloss is more sheer then I was expecting however it does have a good colour pay off and is quite pigmented. It can be worn lightly or built up depending on your preference, I like to build the colour up on mine. The lasting power I would have to saw I agree with what I said in my first impression, the gloss stays on for a good 3 hours before I feel I want to reapply, however when the gloss has gone I did notice it leaving a nice tint to the lips still almost like a balm, which lasts on the lip a further 2-3 hours, making my lips feel so soft and moisturised, it didn't dry out my lips at all.

The formula is really nice, a little thick but very moisturising and nourishing, almost reminding me of Urban Decays Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss but a little thinner, with less staying power, however with the formula being so very moreish and smelling of delicious strawberries and cream (yummy) I think I can over look the lasting power as I'd want to reapply it more anyway! They are non-sticky or tacky which is great for people, like me, that hate sticky lips, they feel more like a very creamy balm then a gloss., but still give a brilliant shine!

Overall I actually do really like these lip glosses, I wasn't too sure on them to begin with and thought they could of been over hyped! However after giving them the full test and wearing them a lot I actually really do like them and definitely looking into picking up some more shades for the spring/summer months! I really do recommend these if you like glossy lips without the stickiness, you can purchase these from selected superdrug stores, Superdrug.com and Feelunique.com for £6.99.

Have you tried these lip glosses yet? What do you think of them? Let me know!
