Make-up Monday | How I: Contour and Highlight Using B.Sculpted Contour Kit

Hey Beauties...
Last month I reviewed B. Cosmetics new B.Sculpted Contour kit here, I had a lot of people asking me to show how I contour and highlight using this kit, as a lot of you are new to it and don't know how to. So for this weeks Make-up Monday post I decided I would show you all how I contour and highlight, and add a little blush just for good measures hehe. This is just a natural every day contour look as I don't like to do too much sculpting to my face.

To start with I'm going to show you how I contour:

To Contour my face I use the brown powder in the kit and my Real Techniques Contour brush, that comes in the Core Collection kit.

1. To start with I apply my usual foundation, I like to apply the powder contour on top of my foundation rather then under, as powders are such a soft subtle way to contour.

2.Taking my 1st finger I place my knuckle next to my ear, just under my cheek bone and stretch it out. That is an indicator as to where you should start and stop when contouring you cheeks.

3. Now I lightly apply the powder along where my finger was.

4. then I like to bring it down to my jaw bone, just next to my ear and down along the jaw bone.

Then I like to add some blush to my checks before I highlight just to add a bit of colour to my face in between the contour and highlight.

I love using my Benefit Rockature blush, just to give a nice glow to the face. I also love using the blush brush that comes with it as its just the perfect shape and size for my cheeks.

To start with I sweep some product across my cheek bone, with the brush diagonal, just above where I have contoured and I make sure I blend the two together very slightly so it looks more natural.
2. Then I take the brush horizontal and lightly swipe it across the apples of my cheeks joining onto the cheek bone.
3. I make sure I have applied enough product but not too much. If needed I go over again.

For highlight I love using this cream highlight as I feel it just blends nicely into the skin and will stay where you apply it.

After trial and error I definitely found applying this highlight works best with a finger, I use my ring finger to apply this product to my face.

1. I start by dotting the product onto the top of my cheek one close to my eye.

2. I tend to just apply 3 or 4 dots across my cheek bone and blend it in across the bone, again using my finger.

3. Using my buffing brush, which I used to apply my foundation, I like to just buff any harsh lines away to give a nice natural looking face, trying not to blend all the products together.

That's usually all I do when I contour but on the odd occasion, when I feel like it, I do slightly do the rest of my face, so I thought I would include how I do that in this post for you all.

1. Using my Contour brush I lightly apply a bit of powder just along my hair line, above my temples just to create the appearance of a smaller forehead.

2. Using my ring finger I lightly swipe highlight just down the bridge of my nose.

3. Lastly I contour down either side of my nose just to think out my nose a little and mask my bump in my nose.

So that is how I Contour using the B.Sculpted Contour Kit! I highly recommend this kit, as you can see it give such a nice natural finish to the face and doesnt leave you looking dirty. You can purchase the B.Sculpted Contour Kit from selected Superdrug stores or online at superdrug.com for £10.49. If you are wondering I use the shade Medium.

Are you into contouring your face? I never use to but now I don't feel complete with out doing just a little. Have you tried the B.Sculpted Contour Kit yet? What are your thoughts on it? I'd Love to know. I hope you found this post helpful and easy to follow.

Please let me know if you would like to see any more 'How I' post and what you would like to see next. Also if you have any make-up looks you would like me to try for you please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments.
