First Impressions Friday | Tanya Burr Lip Gloss

Hey Beauties...
Today's post is a little different to what I usually do. The last week or so I have been trying out quite a few new little goodies that I am excited to share my thoughts on with you all however I usually leave it about 2 weeks before writing my reviews, a little less if I'm 100% sure on them. I have been watching Casey Holmes on Youtube (itsbl0ndie) for a few years now and she started something a while back called First Impressions Friday (F.I.F) where basically you give your first impressions on a product and then give a full review at a later date. So I thought while I'm trying out all these new products I have it would be a good idea to so share my first impressions on them to see if I still feel the same when I review it. I do have a few of these lined up from products I have purchased recently.

So let me first start of by sharing with you my first impressions of the Highly raved about Tanya Burr Lip Gloss. I bought this while I was in Norwich as I saw a stand in the Superdrug in Chapplefield for £6.99. I have been curious about these for quite some time, but I'm not keen on paying postage for items. So I was excited to see them finally in store and couldn't resist picking one up to see what the fuss was about.

I picked up the shade Picnic In The Park, which is a gorgeous peachy, coral pink shade, which has tiny glitter flex. First feel, the gloss is quite thick, with what feels like micro beads which are just small enough to give a slight texture.  The gloss feels very creamy and nourishing on the lips and doesn't appear to dry them out.

As for colour pay off, I'd say it is well pigmented, but is more sheer then I was expecting, but is great for an every day gloss. So far from what I can tell in just a days use, the lasting power isn't really all that impressive at all. The gloss came straight off when I ate and after re-applying faded within 2-3 hours and needed touching up. These glosses have a gorgeous strawberry's and cream scent to them which I love! and I don't find them sticky at all, which is a huge bonus for me, as I can't stand sticky or tacky lip glosses.

So that is my first impressions on the Tanya Burr glosses. Obviously I haven't quite yet made my mind up as to whether or not I'm in love with these. I can tell you though, I do quite like them and I am looking forward to fully testing this out over the next week or so, and sharing with you my thoughts and more information on the Glosses in about just over a weeks time.

I hope you enjoyed this post, just something a little different I hope to do most Fridays. There may be a time when I post a F.I.F and then the following week my review will be up, but don't worry I am writing down my First impressions for a few products to spread out across the next few weeks, however I can assure you all products will have been tested for 2 weeks prior to review and my F.I.F will be written on the first day of testing and may not be posted till some time after. (if that makes sense, sorry for waffling on just explaining)

Keep an eye out for next weeks F.I.F post which I already have waiting for you all!

Have you tried the Lip Glosses from Tanya Burr yet? What are your thoughts? and what do you think of this kind of post? I'd love to know your thoughts and feedback.

  2. I know we shouldn't judge on packaging but this lip gloss just doesn't excite me! I think it's a really great colour range but I haven't seen anything which makes it stand out as a must-have yet!
