50 Years Of Superdrug | Join The Party

Hey Beauties...
If your in the UK then you will already know, Superdrug has been celebrating 50 years on the high-street! Which in this economy is pretty impressive! I feel your either a superdrug or a boots girl, personally I have always been a superdrug girl, I shopped their for as long as I can remember. So when I was asked if I wanted to try some of their 'Brithday' Collection I was over the moon. I had purchased two products my self before hand but I thought it only fair to include them in this post too.

Superdrugs first store was opened in Putney London, by the Goldstein brothers and then on has rapidly expanded throughout the UK and Ireland, making it Britains second largest Beauty and Health retailer. So quite afew brands have teamed together with superdrug to bring us some gorgeous limited edition products and packaging designs.

These include:

MaxFactor Clump Defy Mascara*
MacFactor Clump Defy Mascara | £10.99 £7.99
The Clump Defy Mascara has been around for a while but they have recently giving it a snazzy new 'Limited edition' Design. I don't think I have actually tried this mascara yet, so I will review it for you if you'd like. I am a little disappointed that the 'Limited Edition' packaging is just a wrapper, it would have been nice if the design was actually on the packaging of the product itself, making it a little more special. Either way I love the design and so glad I received this as I have been eyeing it up for sometime! This is the UK version of Cover-girls Clump Crusher Mascara (same company hehe)

Superdrug Delicious Body Spray*
Superdrug Delicious Body Spray | £0.99 £0.49
Superdrugs Delicious body spray, is a gorgeous blend of floral and delectable fruity notes, giving you a refreshing burst of deliciousness. I used to love Body sprays when I was a teen, and to be honest I haven't really given them much thought recently, but I can honestly say I am please I received this gem as it smells amazing! and I will definitely be using it over the summer months! I would never of thought to pick this up on the shelf but I highly recommend you do! I may even make this an item to repurchase! It's so affordable too!

St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse*
St Tropez Bronze Mousse | £20.49
St Tropez have joined in the fun by this retro, snazzy packaging on their bronzing mousse, I have recently become a tan lover and I haven't use St Tropez since my college days when I trained in spray tans, so I'm quite excited to see how they have developed over the past 6 years. Plus from the bottle this smells amazing!

Superdrug fruit Sorbet Peel-Off mask*
Superdrug Skin Rescue Mask | £0.99
Superdrug have release one of their own branded face masks for their 50th collection, the skin rescue peel off mask, which contains a mix of gorgeous smelling fruits to boost the skins radiance and give you a gorgeous glow. It was only a couple days ago I was talking about how I love peel off masks and superdrugs own brands so I was really pleased to receive this.

Lipcote Lipstick Sealer | £3.69
Lipcote is another product that hold the '50th birthday' badge. I am really intrigued by this product as I have never heard of it before and really it sounds pretty good! It's meant to give your lipstick that extra staying power, so I'm pretty excited to give this a try.

Sleek Showstopper Palette
Sleek i-Divine Showstoppers Palette | £7.99
Sleek have also contributed to the Birthday Range by gracing us with the Showstopper palette in a 'Limited Edition' packaging. I have heard that the Showstopper Palette was released last year as limited edition aswell, but personally I'm pleased it has been brought back for a Limited period of time! It would of been nice if they had maybe brought out a palette with superdrug in mind (if that makes sense) but I love it! My review on this should be up tomorrow so keep an eye out!

BarryM 'Birthday' Nail Paint
Barry M 'Birthday' Nail Paint | £2.99
Barry Ms contribution to the collection, has to be my favourite! They have released this Limited Edition Nail Paint, with superdrug in mind! I can't get enough of this colour and its only £2.99! you can see my review here, with lots of pictures and full swatches! Its gorgeous!

So that is a little insight into some of the products and packaging that have been released for Superdrugs 50th birthday! I hope you liked this post, let me know if you would like a particular review on any of the products mentioned. You can purchase all these products in superdrug stores or online at Make sure you follow @superdrug on twitter to join in on their birthday celebrations and wish them a Happy 50th Birthday!!
