Rimmel Scandaleyes || Rockin' Curves Mascara || Review

Hey Beauties...
A few weeks ago, I ran out of my favourite mascara, which is unusual for me as I tend to get bored of mascaras before the dry out. So I decided it was time to get a new one, I always head towards Rimmel when looking for mascaras, well any drugstore make-up really, Rimmel is definitely my go-to drugstore brand. Anyway I noticed they had a new Mascara out so just had to try it! Plus is was on an introductory offer which is always a bonus.

The mascara I picked up was the Rimmel London's Rockin' Curves Mascara I have seen a couple of people mention this in the beauty world so I was quite interested to try it. Also as I said before I always change my mascaras up and usually go for the latest one from Rimmel.

The first thing that caught my eye with this, other then the snake skin pattern on the packaging, is the wand of the mascara itself. The 'broken heart' shaped wand is definitely something I haven't come across before with a mascara. At first it does look a little daunting , but when you work out a way to use it its pretty easy. I found using it the way pictured above, applying it the way I would a normal mascara but slightly rotating as I go along, then turning it over and giving the lashes another go over, again slightly rotating as I go, the best way to apply this mascara to get gorgeous curvy and long lashes.

I do really love the effect of this mascara and how it makes my eyelashes look, you can really see that it gives gorgeous longer, thicker, curvier lashes. It's nice to find a mascara that actually lives up to its claims. My lashes on their out are not the best, I have even been asked if I have lash extensions in while wearing this mascara. The more I have used it, the more I have got used to the wand and the better my lashes look (picture was taken after the 1st use, still quite impressive huh!)

Overall I really do love this mascara and it has quickly become a favourite of mine! The only thing I would say is to be careful you dont apply too much as it can make the lashes clump together, which is something I just can't stand the look off, but its easily avoided and can be corrected if it does happen.

Have you tried this mascara yet? What are your thoughts on it if you have? I'd love to know so please leave a comment and I will get back to you.

  1. Seems like a really great product. I must admit that I have been put off a little by the look of the brush, but since it clearly is so effective I have to give it a go :o) Xx
