Benefit || Rockateur Blush || Review

Hey Beauties...
This is another product that I was very lucky to receive for Christmas and have been obsessed with ever since, I have heard nothing but good things about this blush so I really wanted to see what the hype was all about, plus I really wanted to try a blush from Benefit!
Rockature is Benefits latest box o'Powder and has fast become the UKs No.1 best selling blush. The packaging of this blush is the same style as the other box o'Powder blushers and also contains a portable blush brush on a removable plastic  'Shelf' inside. I love the burlesque\rock-chick style of the packaging, really suits the name of the product itself.

The first thing I noticed about this blush when I opened it was the gorgeous detailing of the design, the word 'Rock' standing out of the blush, which looks stunning. I didn't want to use the it to begin with as I didn't want to ruin the design, I was quite happy to just stare at it!
I did also notice this blush has a gorgeous floral scent to it, which I haven't really noticed with any blushers before, so I think that is a really nice touch.

Benefit Rockature || £23.50

This is a gorgeous rose gold coloured blush and will definitely suit any skin tone. There is a bit of shimmer to the product, which I personally think, allows the product to double up as a highlight for the cheeks, this does seem to die down after a couple of uses. Admittedly I'm not huge on a shimmery blush but this product offers just the right amount to create a gorgeous look, so even if you are not one for a lot of shimmer I still believe it is worth giving this product a try. It really does 'lift' your cheeks and leaves a gorgeous flushed glow to the skin.

The shimmer particles do not leave fall out all over your face like you would first expect it to, instead they appear to be part of the product itself rather then just within the product, creating that stunning rose gold colour effect.

The brush that comes with it is different to the brush that was in the Hoola bronzer (Review) it has the same wooden handle and textured bristles which give it the appearance of a normal bought travel sized brush rather then a free product brush, which I love. This brush is more tapered to sweep across your face and for me fits perfectly on the apples of my cheeks giving the prefect blush application, it is soft yet firm enough, as any good quality brush would be. I love using this brush to apply the product and think it is great to carry around with you in case of any touch ups or if you are staying out over night or travelling.

Overall I really do love this product and can see how he has become the UK's NO.1 best selling blush! I will definitely keep repurchasing as and when I need to, and highly recommend this to anyone that is in the market for a new blush.

Have you tried this blush yet? I'd love to know your thoughts if you have.

  5. Wow this looks gorgeous!! I have heard about the shimmer on other blogs and have been hesitant to buy it because, like you, I don't like shimmer in a blush. But this sounds fab and I may have to invest. Great post xx
