MAC || Prep + Prime || Transparent Pressed Powder

Hey Beauties...
As I said in a previous post, I am finally getting round to reviewing all the goodies I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas just gone. Today I'm going to share with you all my thoughts on MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Pressed Powder.

I have been after a good setting powder for a while. I was using the setting powder that comes with the Soap&Glory kickass concealer to set all my concealers and any other areas I wanted set, however I was afraid I would hit pan very soon. So after being recommended this by MAC and a few bloggers, I very nicely asked Oli and Tia to get this for me for Christmas, which they did hehe.

The first thing that caught my eye with this product is the packaging. I love how sophisticated it looks, like all MAC products. The thing that really caught my eye with the packaging though is the tiny sparkles that run through it. If you know me, you will know I'm such a sucker for packaging especially if it has sparkles in it.

The product itself comes in a very hand little compact with a good sized mirror, perfect for travel and bringing along in your handbag for touch ups on the go. The texture of the powder is very silky and light, with a velvet like feel to it. This product can be used as a setting powder over your foundation and concealer or on its own to combat Oily patches and reduce shine, it is said to help even out skin tone and improve the skins appearance when used alone.

I have used this product on its own, to set my foundation and to set concealer under my eyes. I can honestly say it has definitely helped to keep my pro longwear concealer in place and improved the lasting power of the rest of my concealers and foundations. On its own it really minimised any redness I have around my cheeks and nose area. I also noticed it minimised the appearance of my pores and any blemishes I have.

Overall I am highly impressed with this product, and highly recommend if you are looking for a good setting powder. This product does retail at £20 which if I'm honest I don't think is too over priced considering you get 6.3g of product and you only need to use a small amount to achieve a desirable look. A little really does go a long way when used correctly.

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts on it? I'd love to know so leave a comment below.
