Benefit || Hoola Bronzer || Review

Hey Beauties...
Another gift I received for Christmas, that I was very excited about is the highly raved about Benefit Hoola Bronzer.I have been lusting after this product for quite some time as I have heard a lot of great things about it, so was very excited that I was lucky enough to receive it for Christmas and try it out for myself.  I have been using this almost every day since Christmas so it's fair to say I have a good understanding of my thoughts on it.

The first thing that caught my eye was the packaging, if you know me you will know I am a sucker for packaging! This bronzer comes in a nice little box, that flips open revealing a compact mirror, perfect for on the go touch ups. The bronzer also comes with a hand brush, which sits on a removable plastic shelf in the box.

The product itself is a gorgeous matte lightweight bronzer. At first I was a little unsure on how the colour would look on me, didn't want it to be too dark or to light that you wouldn't be able to see it. However after watching it I realised it has buildable coverage and can be used lightly for paler people or layered on for the more tanned people, to create the perfect look.
This bronzer can be used to warm up the whole face or as a contour, which is how I like to use it. The product blends out perfectly and really is so lightweight it doesn't make your face look dirty at all, and feels like silk when applying to the face. Having said all this though, a little does go a long way so be careful not to over apply.

Now onto the brush that comes with the bronzer.

I dont usually use the brush/sponges that come with make-up, purely because I like to use my own and feel that the freebie ones aren't all that great. However I though I would give this little brush a go, as Benefit seem to have put a lot of effort into making it look like a proper travel sized brush you would find in a collection. I have to say after just the first use I fell in love with it! It's so soft yet picks up and dispensed the product nicely. I love using this for contouring as I find it fits perfectly for the areas I contour and leaves me with a gorgeous natural looking contour.

Overall I am really pleased and impressed with this product and really do think it is worth the money, and will last me a really long time. I really recommend this product if you are looking for a new gorgeous matte bronzer and are thinking of taking the plunge on a high end one.

Have you tried this bronzer yet? What are your thoughts on it? I'd love to know.

  1. I've always wanted to try this but also been worried that it would be too dark or too orange for me, but it doesn't look either on your swatch, so I'll definitely check it out :o) Xx

  2. Hoola is one of my favorite bronzers! It came in a little palette of Benefit blushes I got for Christmas one year, & it's always the first bronzer I reach for when contouring. Great review!
