Lush || Santa's Lip Scrub || Review

Hey Beauties...
So for my birthday I picked up this Santa's Lip Scrub from Lush! I love the lip scrubs from Lush, to be honest they are the only lip scrubs I have ever used! I have bubble gum and popcorn so when I saw this sitting next to the counter at lush I just had to try it!

At the time I picked this up for £5.50. It is a Christmas Special and is limited edition, so unfortunately they no longer stock it. However I do believe it will be back for Christmas 2014. The man behind the counter did tell me that it was a new product of 2013 so that's when I decided I just needed to try it.

The first thing I noticed about this product when I opened it was the gorgeous strong cola flavour, which comes from the coconut oil and extract of cherries and dates that are in the ingredients.

It wasn't until I looked closer that I noticed little edible red hearts mixed in with the caster sugar for the scrub, which look really pretty and make it look more festive and cute.

The texture of the scrub is finer then the popcorn and seems to be more 'juicy' then the bubblegum. After trying the scrub out I instantly loved it and decided that, rather then a deep exfoliation scrub,  this one offers a gentle exfoliation making it perfect to use daily if desired. It left my lips feeling very soft and did take away  any dry skin that was on my lips.

To use the lip scrub all you have to do is place the scrub on your lips and scrub, not too hard though you don't want to make your lips bleed, and then just lick the excess away. Follow by applying you favourite lip balm, I like to use Body shops lip butters.

The only thing I didn't like about this scrub is, unfortunately, the hearts. Personally I'm a bit funny when it comes to textures on my lips and in my mouth. Also they make it difficult to rub the scrub onto your lips.

 However I do feel that if they had made the hears smaller then it would be perfect. I do tend to just avoid the hearts if I can and they do seem to fall off my lips pretty easy so it isn't too much of a problem. I love this scrub and really do hope they bring it back for 2014.

I hope you liked this post, I'm sorry I didn't get this up while they still had it. I just really wanted to share this product with you.

Have you tried this lip scrub? If you have I'd love to know what you thought of it and how you found the hearts inside?

Much Love
Xxx

  1. I have the Bubblegum Lip Scrub and absolutely love it :) I wish I'd tried this when it was out but a lot of people have spoken about the hearts being annoying! x
