MUA *New* Smoking Palette | Review

Hey Beauties...
So after the huge success of the 'Undress me too' palette MUA have brought out another 'HOT' palette that has recently taken to the shops by storm! As soon as I see they were releasing the 'Smokin' palette I instantly knew I just needed to have it in my collection. This palette is right up my street in terms of colour, great for day time or an evening look and perfect for the Autumn\Winter trends this year. At only £6 you really cant go wrong right?

I haven't tried any of the MUA eyeshadows before so I really wanted to see if they lived up to the rest of MUA's products.

This palette almost instantly sold out in my local Superdrug store so I decided to order online as Superdrug have free delivery until 22nd October!

The palette consist of 10 shades, a nice mix of nudes, shimmers and what I would call metallics (although MUA just say nudes and shimmers) and also comes with a full sized eye pencil.

The Colours on the top row are:
  • Glory - A Light Matte Nude.
  •  Boudoir - A Medium Matte Nude.
  •  Ghost - A Dove Grey Slightly Shimmery.
  •  Fantasy - A Dark Matte Brown.
  •  Mythical - Black Matte Charcoal.
  •  Broken - A Metallic Brown

The bottom row colours are:
  • Icon - Deep Metallic Purple.
  • Unleashed - Inky Metallic Blue
  • Chaos - Metallic Emerald Green
  • Wicked - Metallic Grey

Black Smoke Eye Pencil

All the colours in the palette are really soft and velvety in feel except Mythical (the Matte Black) which fees quite chalky. They are all really nicely pigmented, unfortunately 'Boudoir' doesn't show up on my arm as it is so close to skin tone for me.

The pencil as you can see is very pigmented and a great addition to the palette making it perfect for travel and a "Handbag essential" for everyone!

I do have to use a primer with these eyeshadow's to stop them creasing but I have to do that with most eyeshadow's so that's no fault of the palette.
These are very long lasting and like I said really pigmented! My favourite colour out of the whole palette is 'Icon' I can see me using this shade and this palette a lot this Autumn/Winter.

As I mentioned before this palette is only £6 which is an absolute bargain considering you get 10 shades and a full sized pencil

Overall I am yet again very impressed with the quality and value for money from MUA!

Have you tried this palette? I'd love to know what you thought of it and what your favourite shade is!

  2. The MUA stand in my local Superdrug is just permanently empty, so frustrating as this looks stunning. 'Wicked' looks gorgeous and they all look so pigmented!
