Jessica Wright | Fruity Tans | Light Review

Hey Beauties...
A couple of weeks ago I done a post on Jessica Wrights Fruity Tans* reviewing of the Medium Tan for you lovely girlies (READ HERE for more information). As I mentioned in my other post I was lucky enough to be sent 50ml samples of the whole  set, a few of you lovely lot asked me what the light was like and if it would be suitable for really pale people. So I thought I would give the Light Tan to my mum to try out so I can do a review for you all. My mum does have quite pale skin, is in her 50's and has never self tanned before in her life, except for gradual tanning lotions. So I thought this would be perfect to show how versatile this product really is.

So the lovely fragrance for the Light shade is a strong Strawberry Summer Shimmer. I did have a smell of this and personally think it smells like Robinson's summer fruit squash, again same as the melon scent it isn't too strong a smell but it isn't so weak that you can't notice it, Fruity Tans have managed a happy medium, which I am quite impressed with.

The application of this tan is quick and easy, my mum being a tanning newbie was able to get a good application first time. It is very easy to blend and rubs in like a moisturiser would, it does have quite a runny consistency which is perfect for blending and spreading out the colour evenly. You don't need to apply too much at a time as a little goes a long way. You can build the colour if you feel you need to however the colour that appears on the skin its just a guideline colour and will change over the 8 hours developing time so bare that in mind when applying. However do not be alarmed the colour does wash out lighter after showering.

As you can see the light colour leaves a nice natural glow to the skin, making it perfect for even the most pale person. As you can see in the before picture my mum is rather pale with a pinky undertone (no idea where I get my tan n olive undertone from!) and this tan looks amazing on her! not too dark, not orange at all!

I wasn't with my mum when she applied it I wanted to see how she would get on with it by herself, with her being the newbie she is. I was pleasantly surprised that my mum got on with it really well. I was really impressed with her results when I saw her! I would never of guessed she had self tanner on at all! Just looked like she had been in the sun.

My mum says:
"Lovely tan! Really easy to apply and goes on nice and evenly. Gorgeous colour, nice subtle glow. Absolutely no horrible biscuit tan smell instead a nice fresh strawberry smell, while developing and even after showering. The scent reminds me of Robinson's summer fruits squash. I will definitely keep using this tan now and I will purchase a full size bottle so I can keep the lovely summer glow all year round"

The tan lasted about a week and faded nice and evenly not patches or flakes. Although the tan is very moisturising when applied it is very important to keep moisturising to prolong the tan and to make sure it does fade evenly.

So overall this tan is the perfect tan for anyone that is new to tanning or believes they are too pale to try! Again you can find Fruity Tans on twitter @Fruity_Tans where they will be happy to help with any quires you may have and you can order Fruity Tans online at jesswrighttanning.com

Hope you liked this post and were able to get a more understanding of the light tan.
