Cocoa Brown | 1 Hour Tan | Review

Hey Beauties...
So a few weeks ago I was offered the chance to try out  Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse.
If you are unfamiliar with Cocoa Brown, it is an Irish tanning brand that is founded by the gorgeous and talented, yummy mummy Marissa Carter

Marissa has a wide range of qualifications and studied Cosmetic Chemistry in Philadelphia back in 2007. Her love for being tanned, combined with the lifestyle demands of her clients from her salon, Carter Beauty, lead  her to create the ' Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan mousse'.
This product has gone on to take Ireland by storm with its time saving and effective results, and has recently become available in the UK.

The first thing I noticed with this product is the girlie eye catching packaging! I mean what girl wouldn't like this bottle sitting on her dressing table! I also love the little gift bag that comes with it, I think it adds a nice personal touch to the product. I always received a tanning mitt with this product.

 £7.99
As you can see instead of the traditional mousse pump, this product comes in a squirt mousse can. Which to me resembles the type of cans a hair mousse comes in. The texture of the mousse is very light and again looks like hair mousse, which makes it very quick and easy to apply making a little go a very long way!

This is just after I had apply my first layer of the tan, as you can see its a nice even colour.

This is after the tan had developed and been rinsed off.

The first time I tried it I admittedly didn't get on with it but then later realised it was because I had rushed the application and rubbed in the product too hard.
So after trying it out again, taking my time and remembering not to rub too hard I found that I actually really liked the tan.
It glides effortlessly across the skin with a nice floral scent, again reminding me off hair mousse, but that's a lot better then the traditional fake tan smell.

The great thing about this tan is that its a universal shade so its perfect for any skin town, if you are fairly light or just want a hint of a glow then you leave the tan on for 1 hour, 2 hours if you want a medium tan or 3 hours if you want quite a dark tan.
The 1st time I tried it I left it on for 1 hour and when I washed it off it literally had very minimal if any colour change. So the next time I tried, I left the tan of for 2 and half hours and it left me with the perfect tan.

I do feel this tan benefits the more lighter tones people for the quickness however it is still perfect for everyone! I would highly recommend this to any new tanners or younger teenagers that are just getting into self tanning. I did share this with my 14 year old sister-in-law and she absolutely loves it, teenagers hey! haha.

The tan lasted me about 6-7 days and I didn't even notice it fading as it faded a nice even colour with no patches or streaks.

Overall I am really impressed with this product and will definitely use again in the future. This product is available online at www.feelunique.com or in selected Primark stores, retailing at £7.99
