Summer Ready my Tips & Picks #2 | Luscious Legs

Hey Beauties...
A lot of you girlies liked my Summer Ready Tips & Picks Part 1, which you can find HERE, so I am excited to get Part 2 up and ready for you all,
So this week I thought I'd share with you all how I've been getting my legs Summer Ready as I have been wearing shorts a lot recently with this lovely heat wave we have been having in the UK and like always with nice weather it doesn't last long so best make the most of it!

I know a lot of beauty therapist go on about waxing legs rather then shaving and I have to say I am one of them beauty therapists! Seriously no exaggeration waxing is so much better for your legs! While I was at college studying beauty, we used to wax our legs all the time! not just on days we were learning waxing but also on our free time and even on the 2nd year if we had a free period we would all get the wax post out, so imagine  we was waxing our legs at least once every 2 week for 2 years, and no word of a lie I  can go 3-4 weeks without needing to shave my legs, the hairs grow back thing and hardly noticeable. So definitely worth doing and I will most certainly be getting back into waxing! You don't need to spend loads of money on a wax pot my one was about £20 from Argos I believe, and my strips, spatulars warm wax and pre-wax spray are all from sally's beauty supply, but you can use any again they don't have to be expensive. Plus this way its so much cheaper then going to a salon every 3-4 weeks.

Now I'm going to be honest I have been slacking when it comes to waxing but as I said I can go 3-4 weeks with out noticeable hair growth, if you look really close you can see hair growth after a week but they still feel smooth. So when I do shave my legs I like to use a mans razor, Gillette Proglide to be exact, why you ask? well think of it this way, Mens razors are designed for their faces right? so that they achieve minimal cuts and a very close shave, I don't know about you but I've noticed woman's razors don't have as many blades and tend to be more expensive for what you get, example, Woman's venus is between £7.99 and £9.99 and you don't get any replacement heads where as Mens Gillette proglide is £8.99 and comes with 3 replacement heads.. You do the maths ;) and I don't know about you girlies but its it makes a mans face feel like a babies butt then I want the same feeling on my legs!

For super soft legs, or skin for that matter, It is very important they you exfoliate and dead skin cells that are on the surface of the skin, this will also help to reduce dry patches and from my experience reduce any tiny bumps/pimples you may get on the top of your legs, I used to get loads leaving my legs looking and feeling horrible but since exfoliating they have drasticly reduced if not completely vanished. The scrub I have been loving is Body Shop Limited Edition Vineyard Peach, I got this back in October back when I had a bodyshop party for my birthday and I have just seen that they have brought it back this year! which I am very excited about, as you can see in the picture i am almost out of it. This smells absolutely amazing! it has the right texture to it without feeling too scratchy but still gritty enough to scrub the dead skin off.

After Shaving my legs I always apply a moisturiser just to cool the skin from the harshness of the blades! I used to reach for my Body butters all the time! they are extremely hydrating and leave your legs feeling so soft and healthy, the great thing about body butters I find is that due to the thick consistency, they hydrate the skin for quite a long time.

But recently I have discovered Nip + Fab Dry Leg Fix, i got this 45ml sample size free with this months cosmo so go grab it while you can!! this stuff is amazing! I wont say too much about it as I am doing a review on it soon so watch this space ;)

So that's my little routine for getting my legs Summer Ready, Nice and simple.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and next week I will be talking about how I get my body and arms Summer Ready so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
