Sleek i-candy palette | Two looks one palette

Hey Beauties...
A couple of days ago I posted about the Sleek Candy Collection, you can read it HERE if you haven't already. A lot of people commented on that post and I got quite a few people asking me what the colours like with my dark hair and skin tone. So I wanted to get this post up to you all so you could see two looks that I had done when I was trying out the palette, If you've read my blog from the beginning you with know I cant have a new eye shadow palette without trying out a few looks with it! If your new to my blog then you've learnt something new and have a lot to catch up on so best get reading ;) (just kidding)

You will have to excuse my paleness in these pictures were taken before the lovely sun made its appearance in the UK.

So the first colours that caught my attention were the pinks!
My mum was actually wearing these colours on her eyes when she popped round before I got a chance to play around with the palette, she got there first!! I know shocking!! I had it a about a week before she did I am suprised I managed to leave so long before I tried it, I wanted the whole collection before I used any of it :)
Anyway... I recreated my mums look, on how I thought she had done it and added a couple extra steps.
So to start with I primed my eyes like I always do with Urban Decay Primer Potion
1. I firstly applied 'Bon Bon'  a nice bright shimmery pink, all over my lid.
2. Secondly I went in using a fluffy brush and applied 'Strawberry Sherbet' a matte barbie pink, in the crease blending the two colours together.
3. Thirdly I put 'Aniseed' into the outer corner of the eye just to mix it up little and add a little depth as Aniseed is more of a red shimmer then a pink, and slightly blended it into the pinks.
4. I finished off by using a eyeliner brush to line my upper last line with 'Parma Violet' a matte deep purple, just to add dimension to the eyes.

The next look I tried out was this one, using the greens in the palette.
I don't usually like green especially eye shadows as it reminds me of a bug (if you watched season one of buffy the vampire slayer you will know what I mean) But I do quite like this look especially with the pink lips and lilac blush. I also think this look makes my, now green, eyes brighter.
This time I didn't prime my eyes as I wanted to see how well the colour would go on without a primer.
1. Firstly I used 'Sour Apple' a shinnery green, all over the lid
2. Secondly using a fluffy brush I blended 'Mint Cream' a nice matte light green into the crease of my eye to blend the colours together
3.Finally I used 'Pear Drop' a matte yellowy green, into the corner of the eyes to give more depth to the eyes.

I hope you liked these looks, let me know which one you liked the most, I will be continuing to play around with this palette as the colours are amazing so it may be featured in a WOMF or FOTD very soon.
If you have this palette I would love to see any looks you have done with it! Feel free to leave comments below and I will get back to you.

Also if you have any look requests please feel free to ask and I will be sure to give them a try for you :)

Much love

  1. Those looks are so nice :) I especially love the pink look. The colours look a bit crazy in the pan so I was worried they'd be very bright and in your face on the eyes but they actually look really wearable :)

  5. I love Sleeks palettes! They have quality shadows at reasonable prices. I have a few and I absolutely adore them. I wish they were available in the drugstores in America.

    1. They are amazing and to think most palettes with that many eyeshadows at such a good quality are really expensive but these are nice and affordable :)
      Thanks for your comment xxx
