MUA Power Pout | Review & my thoughts

Hey Beauties...
So a couple weeks back I was in superdrug, yes I spend alot of time and money in superdrug haha, and I had a little peek at the MUA stand, as you may know I've recently fallen in love with their concealer palette if you have read my post on it you can read it HERE, as I was looking I came across their Power Pouts, and at the time I had a spare £10 so decided to pick up three of the six available shades, which I then later went on to buy two more colours, then I realised I only needed one more shade to complete the whole collection, Oops!

MUA claim:
"MUA Power Pout is a lip treatment with colour intensity that relieves dry, cracked lips providing immediate moisturisation. The handy pencil-style applicator provides easy to apply sheer soft lip colour and rolls up for easy use"

Personally I think that's a pretty big claim to make! luckily though I can honestly say they live up to the expectations, when it comes to moisture, as for colour intensity they are pretty impressive for a balm!

The first thing I noticed is the scent, each one has a very strong minty scent,  but doesn't smell too strong once they are on the lips, they do, to me, feel a little tingly when I first apply them but that might just be me, and I don't mind it :)
They are easy to apply with a crayon like tip and twist up instead of sharpen which I think is great as sharpeners tend to ruin the tips of lip products (except lip pencils) you can make the colour as sheer or as bold as you want as I feel these are very buildable.

So the top three and the ones that I picked up first. they are:
This is an orange colour, however I was quite disappointed in this shade as i was expecting a nice orange but as you can see on my lips it just looks like a pink with orange undertones, however it is still a lovely colour and its probably a good thing as its not too bright so I am more likely to wear it more often, in the sunlight (bottom picture) it does look more orange then in the shade (top picture) If you have this colour let me know how it came out on your lips.

This is also a slightly orange colour, but again as you can see it came out more pink on my lips then orange, maybe its just the pigments in my lips I don't know. However its nice and wearable, it seems to be a your lips but better kind of colour for me with a tiny hint of orange.

A nice pinky plum shade, quite dark and pretty pigmented compared to the other colours.
I quite like this one alot *note* do not drop with the lid off :(

After realising I loved the more pink shade the best I decided to go back to superdrug and pick up the two pink colours in the collection there are:
Broken Hearted
A stunning deep pink, this is definitely a 'your lips but better' colour I love it!

Irreplaceable
This is definitely my favourite shade! a lovely pink, not too bright but not dull either the perfect pink.

As a whole I really like these lip crayons, and definitely think they are worth the hype and money. I have especially been loving the pink shades! but I do want to start reaching for the orange shades more, we will see.

I highly recommend these as they are very moisturising and great if you want a nice glossy lip colour without the stickiness of a lip gloss, as you can see in the pictures in the light, these have a nice shine on them, leaving you lips looking succulent and kissable ;)

They do last pretty well on your lips. I applied at about 9.30am went into town ate drank licked my lips a little (as I always do) and came home about 12.30 and the tint was still there but had faded a bit, still impressive for the price of the product and that was 3hours of wear including eating ect. So I am impressed I didn't expect it to last that long.
You can find these in superdrug or online at both superdrug.com and muastore.co.uk for only £3!! Can't go wrong with that!
I will definitely be picking up the nude shade and the last one in the collection ;)
