My Skin Care | Routine

Hello everyone..
I've been meaning to write this post for a while now but have been slacking on my blog :( (sorry)
I'm going to be honest I haven't always used a cleanser and toner like you should and iv only just really started paying attention to my skin this year, so I decided to go out and look for an affordable yet affective skin care to add to my very small collection or should I say to properly start my collection..

anyway.. I have been trying new products since I planned this post but I haven't established a routine with them as of yet but will update you on them. But for now this is my full skin care routine.

To start with I take my eye make up off and I've been recently using L'Oreal Eye Make-up Remover. I have very sensitive eyes and for years I haven't been able to take my eye make up off with an eye make up remover I've had to use wipes. But then I saw this and decided to give it a try as it does say on the bottle that its gentle and suitable for sensitive eyes... Well this is the ONLY product I have been able to use to take my eye make up off (except wipes) and it really doesn't irritate my eye or dry them out! Its a definite must have if you have sensitive eyes like I do :) and for £2.99 you can't go wrong! I've had this since about feb/march and I'm only just half way through it so it does last a long time! The thing I like the most about this is that it takes ALL your eye makeup off with ease!
I can't be without my Simple Cleansing Wipes. I use these to take off the rest of my make up and go over my eye area in case I missed anything, then I use my normal cleanser and toner

The cleanser and toner I have been using and really liking are the L'Oreal dermo expertise visible radiance renewing cleansing milk and the renewing gel toner which I now can't seem to find anywhere online :/  but I got mine from Superdrug.. Strange
I've been using these morning and evening, applying some product to a cotton pad then rubbing into my skiing IF I do use the cleanser to take my make up off I rub the cleanser into my face and then use wet cotton pads to remove the make up, I do this twice just to make sure the makeup is off, then go over with the toner.

After I have cleansed and toned I always apply my eye cream morning and night. This is definitely my favourite! Cant be without this little gem!

I use simple spotless skin triple action face wash when I remember to, probably about 2 or 3 times a week. I like to use this in the shower after I've taken my make up off, this really does work, it doesn't feel scratchy and the beads dissolve nicely :)

I love this product, The Body Shop Vitamin-c Microdermabrasion, I use this once or twice a week in the shower instead of the simple daily wash. This is a really nice exfoliator especially if you like gritty deep cleansing ones. This product only needs to be used once or twice a week and you only need a tiny pea sized amount which is good considering its a bit on the pricey side.

I have been using the Garnier moisture match moisturisers in the morning which I love! Check out my review here, I do switch between the Dull Skin and the Shine Be Gone depending on if I wear foundation or not, If I don't then I tend to go for the Dull Skin one, but if I'm using a foundation or bb cream or even if I just notice my skins looking a bit oily then I go for the Shine Be Gone one, as I have normal/combination skin :)

Simple Spotless Skin Anti-Blemish Moisturiser

In the evenings after I have taken off my make up, cleansed and toned I like to use Simple Spotless Skin Anti-blemish Moisturiser I think its better to have a day time moisturiser and a different night time moisturiser just because I wouldn't use my Dull Skin moisturiser before bed as I don't need my skin looking more radiant and night haha. Plus I love this one for preventing and helping clear spots and feel that it works better at night if you apply a thick layer and let it soak in overnight :)

So this is my full skin care routine at the moment and as I said before I have been playing around with a couple of new product but haven't yet established a routine with them but when or if I do then I will update you all :)

Hope you like this post and let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them, or if you have any skin care products that you would recommend.

  1. Wow, I kinda wanna try the Simple brand. I love their face wipes. Good job on the post :)

    1. You definitely should they're great I have been playing around with new products but I won't be changing my eye cream wipes or the moisturiser for night :)

  2. I have always cleansed, toned and moisturised my skin, however I am not loyal to any one brand.
Few months ago I discovered a totally amazing spot busting/preventing product whilst shopping in Sainsburys, it's Biore ice cleanser and normally retails at £5 but I got half price, got to love a bargain.
I only use the smallest amount and doesn't dry my skin out like some cleansers I have tried in the past. Bodyshop microdermabrasion is fab, I use it twice a week.
Last few weeks I have been using Actiderm cleanser and toner, a little pricey at £13 per bottle BUT it is absolutely fantastic, it leaves my skin looking clear and sorted out uneven skin tone.
Love your blog posts Dee, keep up the good work x
